And that's the kind of leadership we have NONE.. We aren't even ready to play. Lack of heart, will and coaching .. Hey defense how about picking up at blue line stead letting them walk in untouched... Same story all year

K's completely out of gas energy was surprise they didn't go to Toledo yesterday I believe they traveled over today but not sure.  They can't skate fast enough to even finish a check

Wow was Toledo everywhere in Offensive zone and all 5 guys around the puck in the defensive zone.  I know Ks can come back, but will it be tonite?  We need shots.  We need goals.  (Obviously).

Toledo is well coached they were prepared and it shows our guys act like they just got up from a nap

Way to fight back and not give up (like some of our fans). I am damn proud of these boys! We took a VERY good team to the brink and gave them all they could handle!

Didn't some of you say it would be a sweep after the first two games???

I will repost this from Saturday night with some changes:

Penalty kill was fair

Power play is just plain awful has been all season.

Defense was bad

Offense was bad

Physical game was none existent

Goaltending was not good

Coaching was bad

Just a real bad game

I said early in the year that these two teams would fight to the end. I was wrong...Toledo fought to the end we did not. You cannot come out of the gate the way the Komets did last night agianst maybe the best team in the league and expect to win in a building you have not won in all year. Where was the leadership and coaching. They all said the right things before the game but did not perform until it was too late. Oh well, they did have a pretty good season but they fell short at the same time they did last year. It will be interesting to see what happens with Colorado over the next few weks and whether the Komets can snag another affiliation if this one goes away. Get your tee times guys!

I turned the game off after 10 minutes. It was obvious the Komets did not have the heart or leadership to continue. If you can't come out ready to go for game 7 something is lacking. Sure we had some key injuries but you still need to come out with a good effort.

This year was a lot like last year a complete game was beyond their ability. Some changes in leadership is a must or next year will be more of the same. After the allstar break this team only won many games because of the goalies.

I agree with Old Guy. If that effort for a game 7 was all they had then they certainly deserved to lose. As for the leadership, maybe the beloved Schrocky will get a real job. Will the leadership then be better? Who knows. We hear that Gary is coming back unless an AHL assistant come up. Of course we await the Colorado decision but I think we know that is gone. Where does that leave the Komets for next season? Maybe back to being an independent I dont now. It seemed like we were for most of the year anyway with the way the AHL teams plucked our best players away. Colorado did supply us with Will and a few others like Leach, Heard and Meurs but I say there are other players out there like them. How many of this years good players like Pistilli, Crowder, Martin, Szyd, Embach, Faille, Tam and Nagle will return? Too early to tell I guess.

The boys put up 102 points in the regular season, gave us great hockey and took it to the seventh game against the team with the best record in the league. In that seventh game, the score was 4-0 a minute into the second period. Instead of quitting, they battled back to 4-2 before the empty-netter. Do we really think these players didn't want to win? Do we really think this happens without leadership on and off the ice? Golly.
