Brett Perlini scored first on a power play.

Then Toledo's Josh Holmstrom scored late in the period to tie it.

Winner #2!

Everybody's looking for James Martin's overtime shot.

This was in Shawn Szydlowski's stall

Going to overtime again

Shots were 8-7 in Toledo's favor in the third period, but they should have been with three consecutive power plays. Komets couldn't argue about any of the calls. Toledo had one shot on goal during those pp attempts.

Somehow the Komets have turned the Walleye into a dump and chase team and Jeff Lerg is living on his goal line, which I haven't seen him do all year.

It's 1-1 after two

First, Toledo's Troy Schwab scored when two Komets forwards failed to pick him up.

Then Mike Embach scored on a power play off a beautiful Garrett Meurs pass.

Don't freak out

Komets were out-shot in the first period 13-7, but I'd take that the rest of the game as long as Toledo keeps firing from long-range. Scoring chances were even in the first period, including this breakaway chance by Eric Faille that Jeff Lerg made the stop on.

Szydlowski update

Komets have announced Shawn Szydlowski is out for the rest of the playoffs.

Upset with Toledo fans?

Mad at them for shouting during the national anthem? Then sing! It's as simple as that.

Komets are requesting a review of hit

Komets coach Gary Graham announced this morning he is requesting a review from the ECHL on the hit involving Toledo's A.J. Jenks and the Komets' Shawn Szydlowski.

"No doubt after review Jenks went knee-on-knee. Jenks never tried to play the puck. Clearly aggressor and therefore needs to be in total control of contact. Szyd is reaching for puck, hands extended in defenseless position."
