It's too bad Vegas doesn't take IHL bets because you could make a fortune on Nick Boucher and the Komets in Port Huron. They are 11-2 there ove the past two seasons, and Boucher is 9-1 in net.
Dominic Osman is likely out of Sunday's game after getting kneed by Port Huron's Robert Snowball. Komets coach Al Sims said he can not put any weight on that leg yet.
Sims said he tried to call Ryan Potts about coming back, but he's out of town.
Boucher has stopped 64 of 65 shots the last two nights.
The Komets re-signed Adam Lewis to a 14-day tryout contract before the game. They had to get permission from IHL President Paul Pickard for that because they were below 15 skaters. Lewis was placed on waviers this week so the Komets could sign Mark Versteeg-Lytwyn, who what happens? Lewis assists Versteeg-Lytwyn on the game's first goal.
It will be interesting to see how many Komets have any energy left for tomorrow's post-game skate.
