Another 3-1 comeback?

As rare as it has been to see a team come back from a 3-1 deficit to win a series, the International Hockey League could see that happen twice this year. The Flint Generals beat the Muskegon Lumberjacks 5-2 on Tuesday night in Flint to force a Game 7 at 7 p.m. today in Muskegon.

This will be the first time since 1999 that both teams coming into the Turner Cup Finals will have survived seven-game semifinal series. It never happened in the Colonial/United Hockey League, and also happened in the IHL in 1975. Both times it happened in the IHL, it led to a seven-game finals.

This also likely means this year's Turner Cup Finals won't start until Saturday at the earliest, either in Muskegon if the Lumberjacks win or in Fort Wayne if the Generals win.
