Bouchard named MVP

The International Hockey League (IHL) announced Thursday that Muskegon Lumberjack right wing Robin Bouchard has been named the 2009-10 IHL Most Valuable Player as selected by league head coaches, general managers and members of the media.

 

The 36-year-old native of Jonquiere, Quebec is currently second in the IHL in scoring with 96 points, scoring a league-leading 58 goals and dishing out 38 assists in 65 games played so far this season. Of his 58 goals, nine have been game-winning tallies. He also leads the IHL in power play goals (18) and shots (317).

He has scored three hat tricks during the 09-10 season, including one four-goal output on January 10th. He netted three even-strength goals and one on the man-advantage in the Lumberjacks 8-0 win over Flint. His most recent hat trick came on March 20th, where his final tally of the three goals marked the goal that tied him with Don Parsons as the all-time minor league goal scoring leader.
