During their 58-year history, the Fort Wayne Komets have never had a successful decade like they had from Jan. 1, 2000 to Dec. 31, 2009.
The Komets won three playoff titles and reached at least the playoff semifinals in eight of the 10 seasons. During the regular season, they averaged 46.5 points, 100.5 points and won four regular-season titles, won seven division titles and finished below 90 points and 40 victories only once. Overall, they were 465-204-70 in the regular season, earning 68 percent of the possible points.
