Not too happy in the locker room

The Komets were happy that they won Thursday's game 3-1 over Bloomington, but they also realize the Blaze are on a 10-game winless streak. The Komets didn't play their best and it almost cost them.

``We didn't play our best game tonight,'' coach Al Sims said. ``Obviously, the first period we had a lot of shots, and a lot of quality chances that we gave up shooting to pass the puck. That was the theme all night, we didn't want to shoot the puck.

``It's dangerous. They are desperate. It's like a cornered dog. They are trying to get points any way they can. Emond played a tremendous game for them to give them an opportunity.''

Brent Henley: ``We were good the first two periods, but in the third period we gave up way too many chances. On home ice, the last change, turnovers, scoring chances that we shouldn't give up. If we do that against Rapid City, Evansville, they are burying more than one in that period. We have to tighten that up.''

Kaleigh Schrock: ``We kind of played to their level a bit tonight. They did a good job. They found a way to stay in the game, and that's how they are going to beat you. We just have to start capitalizing on the opportunites when we get that many shots.''
