He's having his physical late this afternoon with Komets team Dr. Greg Sassmannshausen of Fort Wayne Orthopaedics who did the first surgery on Henley's knee in May 2007.
``We probably won't announce anything until late this afternoon or early tomorrow morning,'' Komets General Manager David Franke said.
If Henley passes the physicals, he is eligible to play Saturday because his immigration status is up to date.
That would give the Komets five veterans and they are allowed six: Colin Chaulk, Brett Smith, Jesse Bennefield, Leo Thomas and Henley, Franke said. Jamie Lovell is not activated yet and won't be for Saturday because of immigration paperwork. He would still fit under the roster. Though he has more than 300 career pro regular-season games, Jamie Milam does not count as a veteran, Franke said, because the CHL only counts games in the elite European leagues as counting toward veteran status.
The Komets also have some roster room to work with because Kevin Beech and Stephon Thorne have not been activated yet because of immigration issues.
