Do you know a student interested in sports journalism? Or, maybe one that is a good writer?
Encourage strong writers to apply to be a student reporter with NIE's sports journalism experience. Knowledge of the game of hockey is not necessary. Students chosen as reporters, and their family, will be invited to a game where they will sit in the Press Box with Blake Sebring. Their story about the game will then later appear in The News-Sentinel.
Students interested should submit a letter of interest to the NIE staff, including a persuasive paragraph about why they should be chosen, home (address, parent's name, email and phone) and teacher contact info and grade.
