Ks have one of their amateurs

Forward Tom Mele from American International College. He can play left wing or center, he's 6-0, 175 pounds. Had 10 goals and 19 points this year in 33 games. Former teammate of Frankie DeAngelis, Matt Woodard and Keith Rodger. He scored 32 goals during his college career.

He will not count against the Komets' final roster of 19. They are holding the final amateur spot open in case they need an emergency signing during the playoffs. The way the roster works, they have a 19-man roster, NO IR, (meaning anyone on IR has to be on the final roster if they are going to play later) and then two amateurs do not count on the active roster or the salary cap.

The roster is due at Noon Sunday.
