P.C. has been placed on the 10-day injured reserve with tendonitis in his knee.
``It's been botheirng him and we're erring on the side of cautoin,'' Komets general manager David Franke said. ``We're trying to rest him before the playoffs.''
That also allows Sean O'Connor to be activated from IR.
The Komets also released defenseman Danko Mironovic. He'll be on CHL waivers for 24 hours.
``It's always tough when you have to say goodbye to somebody who has been part of a couple of championshps with you,'' Franke said. ``We just have a too many defensemen right now. Hopeuflly he'll end up somewhere in the league I think there are a are a couple of teams that are interested.''
Matt Krug will arrive in town late tonight and will practice and play tomorrow.
