Let's all dial it back a notch, please.
That was an unfortunate choice of words, and that post has been removed. And, yes, Wendy does catch more than her share around here. She's also pretty good at defending herself so more power to her. At least she sticks to hockey and away from the personal jabs.
One of the things I respect about people on the blog is that they almost always try to maintain class while posting. Unfortunately, some think being ``anonymous'' gives them the ability to say stuff they'd never say in person because they think it's funny. About 99 percent of the time, it's not.
Maybe I'll just have to start eliminating anything that approaches personal swipes and I'll probably have to err on the side of wiping out too much. Not how I'd like to spend my days.
Mike, I was posting those plus-minuses because they were the predominant stat from last night's game, just as I would have posted the positive stats if they would have been the major stats that jumped out at me from a game. That said, that group has been struggling mightily of late. Not sure why. Could be they are feeling more pressure to produce offensively since a lot of others are not. There are others on the team who are not getting any stats pro or con, which stand out just as much. P.C. and Guy are struggling and they would be the first to admit it.
Check out the stats for the last five games.
I think you could make the argument that Frankie DeAngelis is a legitimate MVP candidate for the team. He's been the most consistent player all year, and when he's not in the lineup, it really shows.
Off to cover gymnastics.
