IceMen lead 1-0 after two

Truthfully, this game should be about 4- or 5-0 in the Komets' favor. Fort Wayne had six power plays in the second period, and the Komets had amazing scoring chances but failed to cash on several from right in front of the Evansville goal.

The IceMen goal was a gift, too. From along the sidewall, Artem Podshendyalov threw a no-look backhand directly into the slot where Evansville's John Ronan buried it. Todd Robinson hasn't thrown a pass that good all year. Nick Boucher didn't even have a chance to flinch.

Komets have out-shot the IceMen 27-19 through two periods and have six power plays to two.

And a special thank you to the IceMen for hosting a special edition of The Bachelor for me between periods. No one in FW should ever complain about the length of an intermission again. These have both been 20-plus minutes.
