Get the pun there? Oh, well.
Komets coach Al Sims said this was his team's most complete game since December as Fort Wayne won 7-2, out-shooting the Mallards 41-24. Everybody pitched in offensively as Jamie Milam scored twice, Leo Thomas, Chris Auger, Frankie DeAngelis, Jesse Bennefield and Stephon Thorne once. The line of Thomas, Bennefield and Bobby Chaumont combined for two goals and seven assists. Every forward except Tom Mele had at least one point and he tied for the team lead with five shots on goal.
Wichita also beat Evansville 2-1 as Todd Robinson got an abuse of official game misconduct in the final minutes. Thunder are in Fort Wayne on Sunday which should be a lot of fun to watch. Two hot teams going at it.
More later.
