These are the Fort Wayne Komets Bantam AA state champions. The won the title last weekend in South Bend and will be advancing to the USA Hockey Nationals in Wayne, N.J. from March 28 to April 1 in the Tier II U14 2A division. These are all 14-year olds who won their league title with a 12-2 mark.
Most importantly, the team is holding a fundraiser Sunday at Oley's Pizza at the Corner of U.S. 24 and Homestead Road from Noon-6 p.m. The hot buffet includes pizza, salad and drink and costs $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and younger. You can't feed a teenager that for $10! An amazing deal. They will also be holding a raffle for two tickets to an April 7 Blackhawks at Red Wings game, a Stihl chainsaw, Guy Dupuis autographed stick and autographed Komets jersey.
