This is from Hoss

Whitney Young Early Childhood Center is hosting a ``Night at the Museum of Art'' on March 22 from 5-7:30 p.m. as a fundraiser. ``We are in need of replacing a large playground set for our whole school and we are trying to build a smaller set that would be for the 3, 4, and 5 year old Pre-K kids that would be 100 percent handicapped accessible for our special need students.''

Tickets cost $10 per person or $15 per couple pre-sale. For tickets or donations, call 467-8950. There will be live music, cheese tasting, Hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction.

So why is this of concern to Komets' fans, other than supporting a good guy like Hoss?

``The Komets were nice enough to donate a few items for a basket including a Festa Game Used Stick, a team autographed t-shirt, and four lower bowl script tickets. We were also hoping to put a book from a very famous Ft Wayne author, if he would be nice enough to donate to our cause again. I am also going to auction off a set of Komet bobble heads from my collection and thought there might be some Komet fans that might want to come out to bid.''

So, Alan, you better publish something pretty darn quick! LOL.

I will be donating two books, neither one of them Komets, though since I don't have any in stock at the moment. But the book I donate is still a very fun read and the other one will be the first copy of the new book which is coming out this fall.
