He's been hinting at it for a couple of weeks during his broadcasts, but the Komets have made it official that broadcaster Bob Chase will return for his 61st season behind the microphone on WOWO next year. Komets president Michael Franke said Chase is expected to call 95 percent of the team's games next year, depending on the ECHL schedule when it is announced.
Chase turned 87 in January and received the Lester Patrick Award from USA Hockey and the National Hockey League for service to the sport in the United States in November.
