The Komets have released goaltender Larkin Saalfrank, but there are a couple of points to be made here about the local product. He had a very good camp, and he's going to get the chance to continue to play with Dayton of the Federal Hockey League. Larkin was basically brought into camp to be practice fodder as the fourth goaltender, but he played very well, must better than he did last year. He looked like a pro goaltender this year, and hopefully he can take that experience and use it in Dayton. He's been skating with the Ks most of the summer and he just looked more comfortable, steady and confident this year. He was more prepared, and he's earned all that with his hard work. I hope he does well.
