The Komets announced Sunday that they have acquired left wing Brett Lyon from Bakersfield of the ECHL for cash.
Lyon, 22, has appeared in four games with Bakersfield this season amassing 0 points and 18 penalty minutes. In addition, the left winger also skated one game this season in the AHL with Abbotsford (11 PIM).
The Grand Forks, British Columbia native made his rookie debut last season in the ECHL appearing in nine games with Orlando (39pim) before playing 48 games with Bakersfield (5g, 10pts, 179pim), collecting an ECHL fourth-highest total of 218 penalty minutes in 57 games.
