Believe me, this is about hockey.
Komets legend Reggie Primeau has had to go back into the hospital to have some more surgery related to his diabetes. Now normally Reggie is the person who keeps everyone else's spirits up, and I know for a fact that he's doing well now, but I figured this is the Christmas season and every little bit helps. That's why I'm asking. The best thing about the Komet Oldtimers is how they rally around whenever any of them needs anything. It's quite a fraternity, and Reggie is a huge part of that.
So let's pray that Reggie can recover quickly and get back to a game soon.
Also, I thought some of the posts about the music and sound levels at the coliseum were very constructive and wanted to say thanks to Larry for pitching in and responding. It's always been my experience that Larry is usually very open to suggestions as long as they are presented with respect, and you have given some interesting suggestions.
Who knows? Maybe something is wrong with the sound system and it can get checked out. I know one problem that I'm sure Larry has is that every event that goes into the building messes with the level of the sound so it's never the same way twice in a row. It also seems to make a huge difference how large the crowd is compared to the level that's needed.
Maybe one of you or Larry can help me out on this one. I was thinking the other day about the best post-goal song/celebration I've ever seen and it's in Rockford. Every fan in the place, no matter the age, gets into that one full throttle. Are they ever having fun. I wouldn't be above stealing that one because it's a blast just to watch. They've got the whole thing choreographed.
