Saturday Update II

I asked Komets General Manager David Franke about Galbraith and he said he's coming back. "He's already got a return ticket.''

I thought the ref did an outstanding job tonight letting the players play a little. This game had pace and flow, and it also kept the Komets off the power play. LOL. Except it isn't really that funny. This was the type of game that the league meant when Richard Brosal talked about finding the happy medium between what the UHL was last year and what the NHL is this year. You know it's rare when the first five minutes of the game went by without a penalty being called.

The hit by Chaulk clearly deserved the major penalty, and Colin didn't complain at all on his way to the locker room. I don't think he meant to do it, I think it was more of an instinctual reaction, but it was the right call.

By the way, did anyone notice the last two nights how much Chaulk was talking to his teammates on the ice and on the bench? After Friday's game, he was in the locker room talking strategy with a couple of the guys trying to get things figured out. He's trying, everyone's trying but things just aren't working. There's no doubt this is a huge confidence issue now from the goal on out. Frenchy is really struggling, and the forwards at the other end can't seem to make anything happen.

Good night, but I know no one will have pleasant dreams.
