Winnipeg-born Elliott (Specs) Chorley passed away in Brandon, MB on Dec. 5 at age 77. After his junior career, Chorley played pro from 1952-53 until 1962-63. In addition to playing four seasons with St. Paul Saints of the IHL, he saw action with five teams in the WHL and three AHL teams. A brief obituary with no mention of his hockey career is in today's Winnipeg Free Press.
He scored three game-winning goals in the 1960 Turner Cup Finals against the Komets. It was later found that he was an ineligible player. Heck of a good player, though.
