Past CANstruction entries

Entries in FortWayne's annual CANstruction, to benefit Community Harvest Food Bank, will be displayed later this month at Glenbrook Square Mall. Shoppers can bring along canned-good donations to use as votes for their favorite team(s). Students from 16 area high schools will build colossal canned creations based on this year’s theme - Great Travel Destinations - 9 a.m.-9 p.m. March 14. Judging will be 10 a.m.-noon March 15. The sculptures will then be displayed through March 23. Last year Fort Wayne's CANstruction internationally ranked as the fourth-highest city, collecting 68,033 pounds of food, which equaled 50,344 meals served to those less fortunate. Here are some entries in previous years' competitions.
