Got an email from Nick Boucher in Australia tonight:
Hi Blake,
Was hoping you might be able to do a favor for me. Basically, my team here in OZ is on a really tight budget and to help with the expenses of sending me home, we came up with the idea of selling game worn Nick Boucher jerseys to help with the expenses of the flight. I was wondering if you might be able to put something on the blog about this?
There are pro weight jerseys, just like the Komets wear-not cheap mesh. The have pro twill numbering and name bars-they are the same quality jerseys that we wear here in Fort Wayne. There are 2 red away jerseys and 2 white home jerseys available, but if there is more demand, then a limited number more will be made. I wear them for 1 game each.....The cost is $130 US shipped right to your door. A cheap way to get a high quality game worn jersey.
Have them email this address. The team uses paypal for payment.

Sure Dschebig, are you going to arrange the road trip. Maybe we can rent a boat, I think I can still navigate to some degree of accuracy. Might hit the Solomons or PNG by mistake but heck they're close enough we could still make it. An aircraft might be to expensive..... :-)
PS, if Not an ihl fan goes he has to sit in aft steerage.
Thanks for the info, JR. Also wonder if Nick has seen anybody in the AIHL who might be worth a sniff by the K's.
To Bears management: All of us who broadcast the Komets games on TV here would be honored to have the Bears be a sister team with the Komets! Glad that you had Nick play for you as he is a class goaltender. Would love to visit your country in the future! Sincerely Tim Hoke Comcast channel 55.
Steve... You know those waters are teeming with great whites, don't you? We're going to need a bigger boat.
Wendy does that mean we can use a certain blogger as trolling.bait??
The Bears Management: Please let us (Blake) know who we can blog with to complain about the lack of toughness with the Bears. Actually just to carry on Hockey conversation all winter/(your summer). We need another team to compare our Komets with. Making friends here is easy making enemies is even easier.
Dschebig: Your last sentence sums things up perfectly!
Wendy, between the great whites and salt water crocs it could be an exciting trip. Better then a canoe trip on the St. Joe.
Don't forget the box jellyfish. A sh... sorry... a crap-load of them washed into a beach near Sydney when my parents were there (just a few hours after they had left the beach).

"...The Indo-Pacific or Australian box jellyfish (Chironex Fleckeri) is claimed to be the most venomous marine animal known to mankind and its sting is often fatal."
Wow, I think I've never heard of them.
They have lots of fun stuff like that in Australia. That's why we love Aussies. They take it all in stride. :)
