after watching the video , a 2 game suspension is horrendous. was it a cheap shot? yes it was . but in no way is that a 2 game suspension. if you watch the entire game and the cheapshots thru out it, there could be quite a few suspensions handed out based on hodgemans. being a hockey fan, not just a komet fan, the referee definately needs to take some responsibility as he let liberties be taken with chewdoruk and hodgeman all night. the poor officiating led to the frustration and had he took control from the start of the game, i seriously doubt hodgeman would be sitting 2 games. that is why these referees are at this level. they have no clue!

Schebig is trying to start something again. Fort Wayne wins 7-1 tonight, Drulia is ejected after calling Langdon a certain name. fort wayne shots over under is 42 port huron 22. Total PIM's over under is 14. you can tease any of these bets with an Overtime prediction.

LG: The others ARE still playing in the IHL now. Read what you wrote. Maybe you are included in your own I word?

Just saw the incident. If the series is extended and Justin gets back. I have one question. Can he fight?

If the series is out of reach for either team. Down games and on the score board I would look out. It wasn't that the slash was the most violent I have seen but it was from behind, and a second one added.
Breaks you heart to see this. Justin has been an important player the last two playoff runs. Al must be going nuts. He won't admit it of course, pro that he is.
I hope the guys can rally. We were really looking forward to getting back down for a few more games next week.

Will Al hide him on the bench the same way he did when Hodgy got in over his head mouthing off to Flint?

I wasn't at the game and this video is all I've seen. Disclaimer aside, this is the kind of goon-like play that cheapens an otherwise great game. Play hard, play fast, play clean!

All these posts and finally Mike has to call in from Toronto to ask the most obvious. I think it depends on where the series stands when Hodge returns, PH might try to give him a beat down and maybe they won't. So far they seem to be the more disciplined team so I think it will depend on where things stand at the time.
A couple of observations. The slash wasn't all that bad as far as force goes, but unprovoked, from behind, and after the game isn't good at all. Hard to argue with the suspension no matter how much stuff was gotten away with during the game.
Eddie Long would occasionally deal out a whack to the ankle when the ref wasn't looking in retaliation.
My grade school Principal could swing a paddle meaner then that slash.... :-)

I stand by my previous statement. Suspension should have been as long as Hauns. At least his was a heat of moment thing. Hodgman was nothing but a coward for this act.
