Tailing the Komets

Who do you like?

Kalamazoo vs. Danbury.

Isn't it interesting that the two highest-paid teams are in the finals?

I sure like Danbury's goaltending, and I wonder how the layoff is going to affect Kalamazoo which has had it pretty easy to this point. I think Kalamazoo will win a road game so I'm saying the Wings in 6.

I know there is an investigation into Danbury's owner about his trash hauling business. You make it sound like the Feds are looking at the hockeu team for salary cap violations.

If they are, why. Isn't there a better use for governmental assets?

Skate, it's your choice whether to believe it. From talking to players on various team, I believe it wholeheartedly. They are MILES over the cap.

They may be miles over the cap, but they spell pretty well. Cut em' some slack, Blake.

Let's just say I believe there's being over the cap and then there's taking the cap and wiping yourself off with it.

Tony, you have to admit though, at least Bo can score and score consistently. I know he doesn't play much defense, but what about a couple defensemen that we had this year that sure didn't play defense either, and that was their position. At least Bo puts points on the board. Something we also desperately needed this season.

Here's what I would ask as far as DAB goes. I know that bridges were burned. I don't know from which side. My thought would be that Puhalski asked or told that he had to play more defense and DAB said I'm an offensive player not a defenseman. DAB doesn't fit into Puhalski's system. That would explain why he wasn't asked back after the cup year (and the fact that his performance was down from previous years). But if DAB didn't fit in Puhalski's system, why was he asked back when the K's started their defense off to a bad start. Did the Franke's tell Puhalski to give DAB another chance or did Puhalski think DAB might work out after all. In the end I guess it didn't.

ilovehockey I agree with you in that he is one of the better scorers in the league. I have no problem with having a guy like him on the team as long as you put him on a line with a couple of guys who are responsible on defence because they are going to have to cover Bo's backside when the odd man rushes come the other way and he is still floating around center ice.
People questioned why Domber was on so many teams in the last couple of years. Well Bo is the Mike Morgan of the UHL and with his obvious scoring numbers there has to be a reason.

I would tend to agree with that. Bo told me that Puhalski didn't like him and that's why he wasn't asked back. He told me to tell the Frankes that we wanted him back. We did, and that got an "Oh Really??" That was after we won the cup. I've also heard that Puhalski doesn't want him because of the defense thing.

Just another talented player on a long list of talented players that Puhulski has ran out of town. Eventually he will run every talented player at this level off this team and we will only be left with hand-me-down third liners or worse who have no choice but to play here. Guess who is next Komet's fans.....Colin Chaulk.

Response: I never said I didn't believe that the Trashers were over the salary limit. What I questioned was that it was made to sound like the FBI was spending its time investigating the hockey team for a UHL internal matter.

Maybe the team is in the periphery of some racketeering stuff involving Galante. All I'm saying is if the FBI is sepnding its time doing that, it would be better spent tapping our phones to catch terrorists.

Plus, they can BE over the "cap" (just like anyone else) if they pay the penalty. I don't see why so many people get up in arms about this. If that's what they choose to do, it falls within league bylaws.
