Frankie goes to the all-star game

Komet defensman Frankie DeAngelis has been selected to the CHL All-Star Team that will face the defending Ray Miron President Cup champion Rapid City Rush on Jan. 12 in Rapid City, South Dakota, the CHL announced Wednesday.

DeAngelis was one of 12 CHL players given the honor by co-coaches Dwight Mullins of the Allen Americans and Scott Hillman of the Missouri Mavericks along with the CHL Hockey Operations Department..

Early report is it's a charley horse.

``He's got a charley horse right now and he'll probaby be out for Wednesday unless there's a miracle recovery,'' Komets coach Al Sims said. ``He's pretty stiff right now.''

It's 2-1 Dayton after 2

Komets took a 1-0 lead in the second on a goal from Leo Thomas off a P.C. Drouin pass, but gave up the lead 21 seconds later. Then Dayton took the lead on another goal from about five feet from everyone's favorite former Komet Brandon Naurato. Simply amazing.

Hate to say it, but the Komets were playing tentative, slow and maybe even a little scared for most of the second period. Never seen such a shell-shocked team in Orange and Black. They obviously lack confidence. All of them. Without
