Message from someone...

...who wishes to remain nameless,

``This will be my 37th year as an Off-Ice official. You are correct I would not throw that away. I have to much respect for the Frankes, the Komets and now the CHL. On top of all that I really enjoy doing
what I do. But you can assure your bloggers that I read your blog faithfully and I will remember those who took liberties at my exspense. I know it is all in good fun. I am getting older but my mind is still sharp. I don't get mad I just get even. Ask Burgee!''

Komets release Mannnig, Potts

The Komets released goaltender Tony Manning and center Ryan Potts after this afternoon's scrimmage. There's a chance both might be called on for emergency spots during the season.

Great scrimmage today

Ended on a 0-0 tie as both goaltenders looked great. Nobody looked out of place at all. Just a few things I noticed: Schrock is two strides faster than everyone right now, and there's a lot of speed in this group... Matt Ward split the defense at the red line on one play and was flat out gone... Kevin Reiter came out to the halfwall to scoop up a loose puck and shoot it up ice to a forward... Brad Pawlowski has some pretty good hands on him. He's got some offensive skills, but the main thing is can he skate at this level?...
