WANE interviews from today

The boys are on the ice

So far, I'm really impressed with the conditioning everyone came into camp with. You can really tell the difference from last year.

Kevin Reiter and Derek Patrosso are here already, Craig Cescon will be in later this afternoon, Mathieu Curadeau and Kaleigh Schrock will be in tomorrow, so that's everybody from the AHL camps. The reports those guys gave to the guys who are here is that that they all thought they played well and there was nothing more they could do to make the team.

Coach Al Sims said he plans to play all the youngsters in Thursday's exhibition game with Dayton.

A bunch of stuff

* Besides Ryan Potts, the Komets are also going to have local amateur goaltender Tony Manning the first few days of traininng camp. He'll help out until Kevin Reiter gets back from his AHL tryout on Worcester.

* Keith Rodger may not be ready to go at the start of training camp because of a bone buise in his lower back. He suffered the injury while working out, but the MRI came back negative, general manager David Franke said.

Larry the PA guy does Karaoke

I'll be working HS football on Friday night, but I'd much rather be here

Karaoke like the 'ol 412 Club days from 10-2. North Star is a great little hangout bar with the 412 feel. Come out and sing and have a blast. I'm the fill-in guy this Friday ONLY. Stop on out!
