Everyone always asks why the Komets don't use two Zamonbi machines between periods since the Memorial Coliseum actually has three on site. A member of the Komets' staff asked a member of the coliseum staff the question. Some folks like to blame the Komets for being cheap with this, but that's not the problem.
Besides needing a second operator for the Zamboni, the coliseum would also need a separate area to dump the snow and water from the second Zamboni machine.
Rizk and Starenky activated, Llewellyn on 10-day and Bennefield on 14-day IR. Llewellyn has a concussion and missed the last half of Sunday's game, and Bennefied has an ankle problem. Jamie Lovell is going on the trip to Rapid City. His 15-day limit on the immigration papers ends Friday so they are hoping it comes in.
