What Jason Christie had to say

What was the difference: ``They beat us to the puck. I thought they definitely had a lot of guys who were committed.''

What was different from the regular season to the playoffs about Fort Wayne: ``Everybody knew that was a good team over there. When Chaulk came back it changed the whole team around. He's one hell of a leader, and hats off to him to keep battling like he does.''

It's 1-1 after one

Mathieu Curadeau scored a short-handed goal off a brilliant pass from Guy Dupuis. Actually, Jon Booras of Bloomington kicked the puck into his own goal on the rebound.

Then Bloomington got a 3-on-2 goal when Michael Ratchuk came over to take the man leaving the PrairieThunder's Brady Sheahon to score.

Bloomington has turned his PK into a diamond 1-2-1 to counter the Komets 1-3-1 power-play formation.

We've got a ruling

I asked former NHL referee Ray Scampinello about the lack of a call the other night when Kaleigh Schrock skated away from Chris Cloud after he dropped his gloves and stick to fight. Ray said the referee has the option of giving him an unsportsmanlike conduct call, but he is not required to. It's a judgment call.
