Also interesting

Because the bus blew a tire on the way home, the Komets were stuck for about four hours at around Anderson on the way home last night. Most of the players didn't get to bed until about 9:30 a.m. They all look about half-sick from lack of sleep and too many games in too few days.

Something remarkable is happening tonight

If what I heard is true, the Komets are sitting veteran defenseman Guy Dupuis tonight. Dupuis was the only Komet to play in every game so far this season, and had played every game over the last four seasons. The last time Dupuis missed a game, in fact, was Dec. 1, 2007 because of a dislocated rib that kept him out of the lineup for only six games. Since that time, Dupuis has played 311 consecutive games, which is remarkable for any human being, let alone a 40-year old man.

Roster moves

P.C. has been placed on the 10-day injured reserve with tendonitis in his knee.

``It's been botheirng him and we're erring on the side of cautoin,'' Komets general manager David Franke said. ``We're trying to rest him before the playoffs.''

That also allows Sean O'Connor to be activated from IR.

The Komets also released defenseman Danko Mironovic. He'll be on CHL waivers for 24 hours.
