Nobody can beat Republicans for being clueless about how some of the actions lookand sound:
Y-Press, the program for young people aged 10 to 18, has been denied press credentials to cover the GOP convention here. Lynn Sygiel, bureau director for Y-Press, said other youth press groups also were denied credentials. The Indianapolis-based group has covered past conventions, including last week's Democratic National Convention in Denver where they were given five media credentials -- including two that allowed the young reporters into the convention hall -- plus two additional credentials for the convention's final night when Sen. Barack Obama accepted his party's nomination.
Maybe they're worried that the kids are all liberals whose reporting will reflect that prejudice, distorting what the GOP really stands for.
