How much of your house do you actually use? I read this story about tiny houses with some amusement:
Artist and architect Jay Shaefer, who lives in his own 70-square-foot home near San Francisco, designed and built Johnson's house when he lived in Iowa City. Shaefer is the owner of the Tumbleweed Tiny House Company. He sells plans for, and builds, tiny homes in sizes ranging from an extremely small 50 square feet to a practically roomy 500 square feet.
But then I stopped to think. I have a lot bigger house than I need, considering how much space I actually live in. The place is more than 2,000 square feet, but I spend most of my time at the computer, on the couch in front of the TV, walking a well-worn kitchen path between stove and sink . . . 500 square feet would probably be enough for me. Everything else is just clutter, the detritus of a packrat's habitat. I think I still have about every book I've ever read, including the ones I'll never, ever open again. (A staircase to the second floor, by the way, makes an excellent spillover bookcase; you only need one side of the stairs to walk up and down on, after all.)

Great idea...those 70 sq. ft houses....and I've got the PERFECT venue for them:
Section 8 and any other HUD properties....housing problem solved!
No more *blighted areas*...maybe a lot SMALLER ones at least...lol!
