A colleague asked if I was going to blog about the Bush-bashing by the "mourners" at the Coretta Scot King funeral, since it was so over the top and unseemly. Obviously, yes. But I don't have much to add to all the commentary at hundreds of other sites, both nationally and locally. This is 35-year-old rhetoric from people who refuse to admit the world has passed them by. It's the past, and I'd rather concentrate on the future. Condi Rice is the future. Ken Blackwell and Lynn Swann are the future.

I think what is unseemly is a bunch of white conservatives telling black people how to behave.
As opposed to, say, white liberals?
What, Craig, whites can't judge the behavior of blacks? Then blacks had better stop judging the behavior of whites. What's good for the goose, etc.
And blacks had better stop making fun of the way white people dance...just saying.
