I guess my definitions of "authentic" and "life of truth" must differ a little from John Edwards' definitions, or at least from Rielle Hunter's:
Help him do what?" asked Oprah, speaking for us all.
"See his authentic self. Be more his authentic self so people could see who he really was," Rielle offered.
"And how were you planning on doing that?" asked Oprah.
"I had no plans. None at all," she responded.
So Rielle rang him up at the hotel and wound up in his hotel room that very night, where they chatted about this and that, including how "he wanted to be more authentic, he wanted to live a life of truth. He wanted to change his life," she said.
What a perfect pair John and Rielle make. It's tempting to now close the nominations for creepiest, most cringe-inducing political affair of all time, but you know the minute we do someone even more spectacularly clueless and narcissistic will come along.

This pair is clueless. It's also frightening that Edwards had a serious chance of becoming our president. He had me fooled, at least for little while.
But when it comes to political sexual misbehavior, nobody is as giggle-inducing as Sen. Larry "wide stance" Craig.
