The mob protects its territory

Indiana's gambling attention isn't all focused on fine-tuning bingo rules and collecting casino taxes:

Twelve people were arrested Friday when police broke up an illegal high-stakes poker game in an apartment in East Chicago, Ind. Large amounts of cash and 19 cases of beer were also seized.

Since the Hoosier Lottery had $739 million in sales last year, with $189 million going to the state, I wonder what is considered a "high-stakes" game these days?

Come on Leo. You know that gambling is both moral and evil; unless the government is getting a lot of tax money from it.

I am afraid that the Indiana government is full of hypocrites.

I still think that there is only one thing that could possibly revitalize downtown and that is a casino.

I am in favor of expanding gambling in Indiana.

A high stakes game....hmm...Owning a home and living in it (while others move away) on the SOUTH side of the city??
Believe me, that's NO game, but it IS a gamble.

Ok - so they shut down the game but did they have to take the beer?
