Morning wind

If you have relatives in trailer parks, you should feel good that the state is protecting them (unless, of course, they have a meth lab or are inclined to get caught up in a TV show and forget the potatoes in the Fry Daddy):

Legislation mandating the use of weather radios in mobile homes is on its way to the governor's desk. The goal is to save lives. Weather radios can be programmed for residents' home county and if there is a severe storm on the way an alarm goes off.

"Hey, Hon, would you check out this radio? I can't get Imus in the Morning. I can't even get nothin' ."

"Shoot, Peg. It ain't got no batteries."

"Well, take the ones out of that dumb thing on the ceilin'."

"You smell something? Oh, no! The fries is burnin' again."

Perhaps the legislature should consider a seat belt law for them as well. My guess is, if you wait a couple days Representative Kruse could be swayed to propose an ammendment to his pending bill for in home decorators to include seat belts in any newly "decorated" mobile home.
