First, they came for cigarettes, and you remained silent, because you were not a smoker.
Then, they came for property, but, you remained silent, because you were a renter.
Then, they came for fried chicken, and you did not speak out, because you were a vegetarian.
Then, they came for corn syrup, but you did not speak out, because you didn't even know what it was used for.
You wonder when they will come for you. Why would they bother? You have nothing else they want.

Very well said Leo.
I could not agree more.
The "nanny state" expands every year...
The most interesting one to me is still cigarettes. Did you know that The Federal Government was massively subsidizing tobacco farmers at the same time they were prosecuting the tobacco companies?

Right now, "they" is the Democrats and I have plenty they still want. I collect, value and enjoy arms primarily used for security and defense of freedom. I don't hunt or compete, I just go to ranges, practice, maintain, clean and oil and renew certain licenses.
Those who misread the Second Amendment as discussing hunting and sports and affirming liberty only for the national guard hope to paint me as some kind of fringe radical for valuing 1/10th of the Bill of Rights, though I ask no more or less respect for Article II than "they" demand for Article I.
What exactly are the democrats trying to take from you? There are very few anti-2nd Amendment democrats left. The new head of the Brady organization is our own Republican ex-mayor Paul Helmke. But since we are talking the 2nd amendment let me post the actual text:
A well REGULATED Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
