On the road again

Boy, you can wait your whole life for an opening paragraph like this:

Indiana State Police arrested a Chicago man Wednesday afternoon after he was found driving completely nude and masturbating on the Indiana Toll Road.

He told police he was on the way to visit his mother in Ohio. No word yet on whether he is a Republican who preaches family values. Nah. If he were, that would have been in the first paragrah, too.

"Mom! I'm home!"

OK...I own a black car and the A/C is on the fritz, BUT....you sure as shootin' won't find ME driving NUDE...even in 90+ degree heat!

SO...where DOES he keep his "spare change" for the toolbooth?

And masturbating WHILE driving?
I thought that's what bedrooms with LOCKS were for (so I've been told)...!?!
Or was he DRIVING while masturbating?

Legally, it's TWO different plea deals...

We're sure not in "Kansas" any more, Toto!

That is just bizarre, being pretty well travelled, you wouldn't believe what I have seen on the road in the cars next to me.

But your greater "point" I guess you are trying to make Leo is that there is some sort of "librul" media bogeyman bias in the reporting of these things. If you haven't been paying attention - the loudest noises and calls for resignation of Senator Craig are coming from the right wing media, and including our own Mark Souder.

I also recall an awful lot of howls and coverage of Clinton's escapades that even resulted in impeachment, and a lot of noise from the right when Barney Frank came out of the closet. So it would appear that personal indescretions get pretty much equal coverage.

The bottom line and what makes this situation so unique (and newsworthy) is that this is the third recent sexual related scandal from the party that makes a major centerpiece of "family values" Foley, Haggard and now Craig. And don't forget that Obama got elected in IL when his republican opponent self destructed in a spousal abuse scandal with TV hottie Jeri Ryan.

For those republicrits like Craig who are very vocal "family value and "moral values" legislators it appears the old Shakespeare line is appropriate "Me thinks they doth protest too much"
