Self-deluded Americans

Now, this is funny:

Even more revealing, 23 percent say they have sex tips they could share. Thirty-seven percent between 25 and 34 say that they are experts on sex, but that falls to 13 percent when older people are were asked, a press release said.

What's that Bob Dylan Line? "Ah, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now." In other words, the older you get the less certain you are about the things you knew in your arrogant youth. What these 25-to-43-year-olds are experts on is how to get pleasure out of sex. The reason it falls to 13 percent when "older people" are asked is that they've come to realize it's a little more difficult to give pleasure. The same survey says 68 percent of Americans think their lives are worthy of a book. But, really, how many books can we read about people who go through life half-asleep, seldom paying attention to anything around them?
