The season isn't over for us yet and The Rush fans are already looking forward to the games against the Komets next year.

Frodawg, Fort Wayne might be the closest team to RC if the predictions on this blog come true.

I hear there Mike. That will be rough on the travel schedule. I wished we were a little closer to the more populated world.

If the Frankes go about this offseason the way I think they will, I have a feeling there wont be too many teams out there looking forwards to playing us >:)

I'd love to see NHL game in Florida but once again South Dakota is a long ways. Even Further than Ft. Wayne.
Gillmore, in the most polite way possible, you are CRAZY!
You really think Schrock isn't going to be protected?
Pppssshh, that's crazy talk.

Do they have to protect players who are sent to them by an affiliate, like Ratchuk and Krug? I wouldnt think so....
Also, do you have to protect guys who are signed already for next season or who are summer employee's??? If not, you wouldnt have to protect Chaulk, Boucher, and Drouin...
Chaulk
Lardner
Schrock
Apod
Mele
Cescon
Boucher
DeAngelis (if he assures the K's hes not headed overseas)
LaPointe, Molle, Phillips (take your pick depending on Frankie's answer)
Will have to do some homework on this...

breslyn, in the most polite way possible, you are INSANE!
Seeing how Schrock is a local product who grew up watching the K's, he would certainly would give the team an offer to match any CHL offer he would receive.
That being said why on earth would the Komets waste a protected spot on hime when they know he would not sign with another team without giving the Komets a chance to match.
PPPsshh, that's INSANE talk...

I work with someone who he and his wife are friends with Reiter and his girlfriend. They are wanting to move out of state and start a family. He's even thinking about giving up hockey. I wouldn't protect him. If this ends up being the case I enjoyed watching him play and I wish him and his girlfriend the best of luck.

As long as shrocky plays for the K's, I guess I don't care how he gets on the team...

Unless he gets a shot with an AHL team Schrock WILL be back.

If Schrock is left un-protected and gets chosen off our roster, his rights would go to whatever team chose him.... The K's would have to trade to get his rights back, it wouldnt be a matter of "matching" any offer....

Think I'm wrong here... For whatever reason, I put this protected list in the same category as that UHL thing where they would have a draft after lists were submitted....duh...
