Rescuers are hoping to find a home for a poodle shih-tzu who's pleading gaze resembles that of a human face.
The dog, named Tonik, was due to be put down before he was saved in the nick of time and taken to the Homeward Bound Animal Welfare Group in Mishawaka, Indiana.
The story and photos went viral this week, so at least momentarily sad-faced Tonik was the most famous animal in America. Sorry, looks like a doggie face to me. Kinda, sorta, human-like? Welll, maybe.
