All washed up

Another reason we can't do without newspapers. This hardhitting article in USA Today tells us how to wash our hands!

Popular alcohol hand gels aren't as effective as soap and water, but they're better than nothing, Smith says.

Soap and water help dislodge dirt, bacteria and viruses so they "can go down the drain," he says. With gels, "the bacteria has nowhere to go."

There are even photo illustrations for the language impaired, and the article isn't afraid to tackle the most controversial part of hand-washing -- hand-drying: "Which works better, paper towels or dryers, is hotly debated." After noting all the pros and cons, the writer notes that it's "better to wash your hands and then dry them on your pants than not to wash them at all." Truer words were never spoken and somebody finally had the courage to sayt it!

So, Leo, if I happen to bump into you at the Waynedale SCOTTS in the next few weeks, then you'll be the guy with the CLEAN hands...and the DAMP pants, correct?

Today I read a recipe in the newspaper that had
"(wash hands)" inserted in the middle of the actual recipe 3 times. Guess the clean hands police are really out there.
