One governor gets off a lame joke, and another fires back and even lamer response:
Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn has three words for Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels
: "Hardy har har."
That was Quinn's reaction Monday to Daniels, who joked recently about what the world was coming to when Chicago "can't fix an election" and win the Olympics.
Say, did you ever hear the joke about Chicago that went around several years ago? It seems that the pope, Richard Nixon and Mayor Daley were adrift at sea in a lifeboat, and they had just enough drinking water for one person. The three of them decided to vote to determine who should get the water. Daley won, 6 to 2.
