Another brawlgame

I was a little bit disappointed to learn that the Indiana Pacers lost the distinction of being one of the two teams involved in the worst brawl in NBA history:

If David Stern has the power to suspend people for sheer stupidity, now is the time to exercise it on the worst offenders of the Nuggets-Knicks brawl in Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.

It wasn't the swinging fists or the twisted jerseys or the 10 — ten! — ejections that stick in my head. It's the idiotic lack of control that allowed it to all transpire. Just for that, Commissioner Stern can fire at will. Double-digit suspensions all around.

But then I realized that Isiah Thomas is the coach of the Knicks, so Hoosiers still have a stake in this. Way to go, spoiled brat millionaires and their apologists.

Basketball seems to be the worst. Must be lots of money changing hands to allow the sport to be desecrated like it is.
