Am I the only one creeped out by long-dead-and-buried Orville Redenbacher still on TV as the pitchman for his popcorn? His company was around Valparaiso in northwestern Indiana, so I got to see him a lot on TV up there when I was in Michigan City from the mid-'70s to early '80s. I feel like I'm in a time warp. Just imagine them bringing back Dave Thomas commercials for Wendy's.

Yeah, definitely creepy. Even creepier, though, was "Orville Deadenbacher", the animatronic or animated Orville Redenbacher the marketing folks were using for a while.
They should go back to using his grandson or something. He didn't have his grandfather's charm, but he is, you know, alive.
I was bothered by the gap using Audrey Hepburn in their commercials - I am sure she would have never approved
ANd here I thought you were talking about Fred Thompson
