To add....Maybe you meant the UHL? The IHL was around a long time and didn't fail until the Komets (smartly) got out.

Here is a thought: If a business doesn't make a profit, they would go out of business. Just take a look at the teams that haven't made it. I think we are darn fortunate!

Hit I think it works both ways.
For example look at Dayton.
You can't get a ticket to a baseball game there. Ownership has gone above and beyond to make each game an event, put a quality product on the field and created demand for each and every seat. They have formed great corporate partnerships with big companies and mom and pop shops. In short they have brought trust and stability. Alot like the Komets.
Hockey....well you know what hockey is there. It isn't because people don't have money or interest. It is because there is no stability, no real connection between the city and no real reason to make an effort to go to games

Having fans is a fortunate thing.
If the Frankes left Fort Wayne and took over Dayton....is there any guarantee that the fans just start coming?
If new owners came to Fort Wayne and took over the franchise is there any certainty the the fans here would just stop going?
Frankes are great owners, no doubt about it. They have great fans, no doubt about it.

I've never teased. I tell you about players & Franke,Blake etc. says NO.
Then they are signed.This will be a goal scorer + tough guy.
So far this year I tell about Milam, Cescon,Thomas,DeAngelis etc.In the past I tell about Henley,Legault,Woods,Chaulk etc.
This is "stressful" I find things out as they happen. I turn 50 yrs. old soon. I will not stress over this no longer!!!

Both of those guys I mention are goal scorers and tough guys....both played for Martinson.
Both are unsigned or at least have not been announced signings.
Tifu has been mentioned as a possibility for Martinson at Chicago.
