Forward P.C. Drouin just told me he is leaving the Komets play in Morzine, France. After a short visit to France, his wife Michelle will remain in Fort Wayne and continue to teach at IPFW. The couple recently bought a home in Fort Wayne.
"It just seemed like a good thing,'' Drouin said. "It's good money, and obviously it's a French-speaking area.''
Drouin played two years with the Komets, scoring 24 goals and 74 points each season. Asked why he wanted to leave the Komets, Drouin said, ``All the stuff in the league and how everything is changing. It doesn't seem very stable. I didn't enjoy last year much, and I was kind of looking for something else to try out a new experience.''

Drouin was NOT a huge asset to the Komets. People let their orange colored glasses skew what was really going on.... He disappeared constantly during games, hated to be checked, and didn't pay the price in the corners. Komet Warrior think Chief is a great coach??? Based on what criteria??? Just because he has coached at the same level of hockey, the UHL for 7 years, he has accumulated wins. His style of play was terrible, his players unmotivated, and was almost universally disliked in the lockerroom. Sure as hell makes a great coach to me....
Don't try to argue with Komet Warrior he will only bring you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

I heard Blake's house is up for sale. He told my cousin's friend's aunt's co-worker that he wanted to work for the Kalamazoo paper. The editor is an old friend of his... lol. I though I see Blake at Showgirl with Ryan Severson last night, but that might have been the beer talking.
Hey Komet Fan what do you think you are talking about on here like that?Coach Puhalski IS a great coach since he IS the all time wins leader of UHL coaches. That is a FACT! Get it MAN? His style of play won lots and lots of games because his systems were more complex than most of teams. He had a couple lazy players last year at the begining of the season and he traded them and the team got lots better and would have did will in the playoffs if it wasnt four lots of injuries. Who said he was disliked. Dont start more rumors on here MAN. We want facts not the lies.
Uh Komet Warrior, you scare me.... Lay off the valium a little bit, ok MAN??? Ask yourself a couple questions, 1) Why has Chief been stuck in the lower minor leagues for 7 years without getting a chance to move up to a higher league with all his GREAT winning teams? He is a TERRIBLE communicator, a horrible motivator, and throws his players under the bus. 2) Why have many players left the Komets over the years? Talking with many of the guys, I can answer you with one word: CHIEF. Drouin, who I am not a fan of, even said in the paper today that had he known Marks could be coaching here, probably would have returned to Fort Wayne instead of going to Europe. Venedam left because of Chief. I could go on and on about Chief, but I think you see the point.... Chief is a good systems coach, but a horrible, and I mean HORRIBLE, communicator and motivator.

Ok my 2-cents. If players were leaving because Chief left then why aren't they going to Chicago?? They are leaving because of the new salary cap. Why stay here for 1000 a week when you can get 10000 a week in Europe??? DUH!!!!
