Barack the knife

This is a joke, right? We all just woke up in the middle of a "Saturday Night Live" sketch:

President Obama plans to convene his Cabinet for the first time today, where he will order members to identify a combined $100 million in budget cuts over the next 90 days, according to a senior administration official.

Let's see. Under President Bush's watch, the national debt went from about $6 trillion to about $10 trillion. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that President Obama's budget (just his first one of at least four, don't forget) will add about $9 trillion to that over the next 10 years. And $100 million is one-thousanth of a percent of just $1 trillion. I'm supposed to swoon in libertarian delight over this sign of fiscal responsibility?

This is like someone intentionally flooding my basement 10 feet deep with toxic waste, then expecting me to praise his concern for my welfare because you volunteer to carry a teaspoonful back out. Forgive me if I'm underwhelmed.

That's one small teaspoon for the President, and one big dumpster full of horse puckey for tomorrow's leaders of a one-car funeral. Shaddup with the talk about my crummy amplitude.
